Bill and I spent a few minutes in the back yard after lunch. He mowed, and I picked weeds and gave the dogs a bath. I took a few pictures. Some flowers, some dogs, some guy without a shirt mowing the yard (you have to look closely for him).
If you don't know our dogs, you'll see why we call them the Odd Trio. Many people who have more than one dog have dogs that are somewhat similar in appearance or of the same breed. Our boys are totally different. You could probably guess they were not littermates. Murphy is a neurotic reddish beagle mix who we've had about 4 years. Gus-Gus is a black and white terrier mix who we adopted about 5 years ago. And Karl is our big boy. He's an older brindle English Mastiff who we've had about 2 1/2 years now. He's weighs about 110 pounds, which is quite tiny for a Mastiff. His hobbies include sleeping and drooling. He also enjoys eating socks and underwear. Once he ate a whole t-shirt.
Here are some flowers I haven't killed yet. It's only June.
Since moving here, I've learned that hostas are hard to kill. They are perfect for me.
That's Bill with our new lawnmower on the right.
Karl in the normal Karl position.
This is Murphy being a beagle. Nose to the ground.
Karl is tired from all of the naps he's taken already today.
Gus-Gus, the dog so nice..they named him twice.
Gus-Gus working on his tan.
Gus-Gus is quite photogenic.
Karl preparing for his next nap.
